Nacho Fernández, who got COVID-19 a few weeks ago, has finally tested negative in the latest medical tests which he underwent and could return to training with the rest of the group on Thursday, according to the newspaper ‘Marca’.
The Madrid defender has missed the last two matches in these two weeks: the win against Deportivo Alavés (1-4) and defeat to Levante (1-2).
Nacho has trained individually during this time, but he has gone 13 days without training with the rest of his teammates and could lack match fitness.
Madrid face SD Huesca on Saturday, a match that Éder Militao will miss after being sent off against Levante. Sergio Ramos, nevertheless, returned to training on Wednesday, so he could start alongside Varane at the weekend.
