Brendan Gleeson Is Among The Nominees For His Portrayal Of Former US President Donald Trump In The Comey Rule

The nominations for the Golden Globe Awards are being announced in the US, and Brendan Gleeson is among the nominees for his portrayal of former US President Donald Trump in The Comey Rule.

Normal People and its star Daisy Edgar-Jones are also among the nominees in the miniseries categories – but there was no nod for the drama’s Irish star, Paul Mescal.

The Crown, Lovecraft Country, The Mandalorian, Ozark and Ratched will vie for the Best Television Series, Drama award.

In the film categories, The Father, Mank, Nomandland, Promising Young Woman and The Trial of the Chicago 7 are shortlisted for Best Picture, Drama.

Borat Subsequent Movie Film, Hamilton, Music, Palm Springs and The Prom are nominated for Best Picture, Musical or Comedy.

Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman), David Fincher (Mank), Regina King (One Night in Miami), Aaron Sorkin (The Trial of the Chicago 7) and Chloe Zhao (Nomadland) are the Best Director nominees.
