Following Believer, the track serves as a stark reminder of the state of the world right now through politically charged lyrics and a crashing chorus.
It’s the latest preview of the Brighton band’s forthcoming LP, ‘Written & Directed’, due out on March 19 via Foxfive Records. Vocalist Izzy B. Phillips said:
“Disinfect to me is like watching the school bus burn down. We wrote it before the pandemic but it feels like a premonition of things to come.”
Of the accompanying Craig Hemming-directed video, she added: “The video is a commentary piece, I love collage and this one is like looking directly at our reality in a mirror… itβs really honest.”
The four-piece will head on a small headline tour in September. They also play a socially distant London show in June.
